The Training Sessions where you can access my ongoing class plans and workouts. It’s where I craft interesting, creative, challenging and purposeful strength training.
strength training is anything that you do on purpose to make you move stronger.
This might include; faster, with more range of motion, heavier or longer, or something totally new.
This is what fitness is – continual improvement of your physical ability.
The Training Sessions are released weekly, via app, for anybody to access and follow. They are also the basis for kettlebell classes in my Coventry gym.
Rather than being just a list of movements and reps, I explain the purpose, flow and “story” of each workout – the areas of intensity you’ll notice in your body, where the workout might take you in your headspace, how to overcome the hard parts and how to adapt for ability/equipment.
The Training Sessions as individual sessions are linked together in a programme.
Each one of the three times a week sessions fits together as one piece of the plan. This way, across the whole week, everything we need to do is ticked off.
Each individual session also exists on its own terms, as a repeatable thing that comes up again in the programme, or that you can repeat on your own if you want to.
Everything is scalable for your level with options for beginners or those who want to challenge themselves. From new members, to myself (!), we all get the level of intensity we need from this programme.
It works really well for every member, regardless of their fitness level: it’s enjoyable, it’s interesting, it’s challenging, it’s constantly changing and evolving, and you see yourself getting stronger all the time.
Equipment And Technique
The Training Sessions make use mainly of kettlebells, and bodyweight strength aka basic callisthenics. The purpose of the sessions is to cover all 5 of my training Principles across 3 days per week of training, allowing you to build a sustainable training habit and generally make yourself better at everything.
The Training Sessions is “what movements to do”, with technique and movement pointers rather than “how to do the movements”. Please see below for comprehensive “how to do the movements” options including 1-1 intensives with me in-person or online, and a twice yearly 1-day group workshop under our teaching school RKC UK.

Reminder:
You can access this training with or without technique tuition, although I recommend that you have technique tuition via my options listed at the top of this webpage as soon as is practical for you.
If you’ve already done technique tuition previously with an RKC or StrongFirst instructor, you won’t need to do any new technique work. You still have the option book PT sessions with me to monitor your technique at a maximum of every 6 months.
