Small-group, easy strength training, your body – your pace.

Juno – the place where you belong to get strong.

Gentle Strength is my brand new small-group class for you if you are starting from a place where slowness, mindfulness, and a fully adaptable pace is best, and for whom my main classes are a step above where you are just yet.

This might be for you if:

  • You’ve got some extra years behind you (congrats!) and are new to exercise
  • Have been through physical or emotional upheaval are low in confidence about moving your body
  • experience chronic pain or fatigue
  • have joint problems, stiffness or restricted movement (including hypermobility)
  • have previous injuries that need to be worked around
  • would generally benefit from a smaller, more slow-paced class environment

What’s involved?

The classes include:

  1. Long, slow warm-ups focused on mobility, encouraging blood flow and gentle heart rate elevation.

  1. One or more “skills of the day” – working on the main movements we need to be able to do (eg. reaching the floor, lifting your arms overhead, engaging the core effectively (breathing and pelvic floor!), pulling something towards you, rotating your spine, elevating your heart rate to a beneficial level for metabolic health, and more.

  1. Encouragement, friendly people, your own pace, the ability to change whatever you need to to meet you where you are today.

You don’t need to be at any level of fitness before you start. Exercises will be adapted, progressed and changed to suit the person doing them.

Small classes, individual support

Gentle Strength classes are limited to a maximum of six women.

Keeping the group small gives me much more opportunity to adapt exercises and provide individual support while retaining the friendly, social atmosphere of training in a group.

Each class lasts 60 minutes, with two Gentle Strength sessions available to you each week.

You can use your membership at either session – you don’t have to attend the same day every week (depending on class capacity).

Membership Options

There are two membership options:

Gentle Strength 4 — £60/month

4 Gentle Strength sessions each calendar month.

Gentle Strength 6 — £85/month

6 Gentle Strength sessions each calendar month.

Additional sessions — £15

This means you can choose the level of attendance that suits you.

If you’re on Gentle Strength 4 and occasionally have a week when you’d like to train twice, you don’t need to change your membership. If there’s space in the class, members can book an additional session for £15.

Extra sessions become available 48 hours before the class.

Interested, but not sure if it’s right for you?

You don’t need to work that out by yourself.

Before joining Gentle Strength, you’re welcome to book a call with me or come into the gym for a chat. We can talk about where you are now, anything you’re concerned about and what you’d like to be able to do.

Gentle Strength isn’t about what you can’t do.

It’s about finding what you can do now, working from there, and gradually building strength, capability and confidence.

About Juno members

We are a group of women who have all found our way here from a desire to break from mainstream, gimmick-driven and punishment-focused fitness to connect with our bodies’ natural and innate athletic potential.

We all have slightly different aims, because we’re individual women, but what unites us is the desire to be stronger, and reap the physical and mental benefits that having a stronger body provides.

This isn’t a gym full of intimidating people; we’re down to earth, quirky, fun-loving and inspirational women who are here to escape the stresses of life, get out of our heads and into our bodies.

I’m creating a movement for women who want to be stronger, not because we think we’re not good enough as we are, but to make us realise our power, independence and freedom.

From a culture that seeks to make women less, we’re here to become more.

“Women’s bodies respond – metabolically, physically and mentally – so extremely well to strength training, it’s almost as if we’re designed to be strong

Oh, wait.. 😉 “
